In the deep northern bay of the island of Brač, sits the charming town of Pučišća.  Beautifully built stone houses with tiled white roofs give the place a special charm and a special Mediterranean atmosphere. Pučišća has long been known for its stonemasonry culture. The harmony and unity of peasant houses, renaissance palaces and baroque buildings sprouted from the whiteness of Brač stone leave every visitor breathless. The tradition of stonemasonry continues to this day in the stonemason’s school in Pučišća, which tourists like to visit and see the works of students.
